Best known for his 1960’s chart-toppers such as pop icon, Marianne Faithfull’s hit, Summer Nights, Brian has released Just A Little Friendly Smile at the grand age of nearly 85.

Brian previously partnered with Liza Strike in their acclaimed mod-soul bands, The Soulmates (When Love Is Gone), and The Jet Set (You’ve Got Me Hooked). This time round, his tender ballad is graced with the velvety tones of Ama Lia, singer with the R.U.M. Band. The backing track recorded at Boogie Back Studios, features an arrangement produced by Michael J McEvoy, melding classic ‘60s and ‘70s Latin-jazz with timeless appeal and smooth, yearning emotion.

Hailing from Trinidad, Brian came to England in 1957, following in the footsteps of his uncle Russ Henderson (a co-founder of Notting Hill Carnival). Establishing himself as a steel pan player, artist and songwriter in London, Brian also went on to play in the seminal 1970s prog rock band, Nirvana (long before the American rockers took the same name).
